Perhaps the editor's review was old. They have restructured their pricing so there is no limit to storage anymore and it's $16 a month, no more $50. I love squarespace. It's the only hosting/design package I have found that looks the way I want and can handle the amount of changes I want to make all the time. It's very easy to use once you get used to it. Okay, I'm an English major so you could put me in the novice category as far as technology goes. I can write maybe one thing in html.

I've checked out a few options for building a site. I could pay someone an ungodly amount of $ to build me a site (I think $700 was a fairly recent quote) but I might not even like it or like them. Squarespace, on the other hand, gives me a beautiful set of templates to play with to my heart's content, all of which are extremely professional looking and beautiful. My business is young enough that I'm constantly reorganizing things and changing what page I want on the front, etc. Squarespace makes this easy and I don't have to pay someone to do it for me every time, or worry about getting some piece of html wrong and messing it up.

I have used homestead in the past and it's easy to use but I found it really fiddly for details like spacing around the edges...makes for a poor website unless you remember ALL the details or stay up all night several times fixing it all. No such headaches with Squarespace. It's square. It's in the box, in a good way.

I almost docked them a star because they don't have any phone customer service, however, I can appreciate that they do what they do well and don't want to deal with customer rifraff like me on the phone. They can be lightning quick with email replies and yes, I've gotten them at 2am.

Waiting for one right now and it's been all of 15 minutes! That's about the longest I've had to wait, really.

In summary, I would recommend SquareSpace to a friend.
